Chapter 29: Audition Day (2)
Even though five years had passed, Charlotte’s appearance still looked as young as before, and that was the advantage of being a werewolf.
They weren’t immortal, but their aging process was three times slower than humans. Therefore, werewolf celebrities tended to have longer careers than ordinary humans.
Unfortunately, Charlotte didn’t have the same spark she used to. Her appearance hadn’t changed, but the way she saw the world had shifted drastically.
The unhealed wound in her heart made it difficult to keep her spirits up, but she would try her best not to drown in her pain anymore.
"I need to go first, Mrs. Dawson." Tatiana patted her shoulder lightly before walking away. "I can’t wait to see your best performance."
Right.
Charlotte reminded herself as she watched Tatiana leave. She had come here to give her best, to rebuild her career from the ground up.
Today, she only needed to focus on herself, so she could stand on equal ground with Damon in the future.
Charlotte then went to the 12th floor, where the audition was being held. After registering her name, she waited in the waiting room with the other candidates.
She deliberately wore a mask to avoid being recognized by others in the room.
However, the real reason was that she simply didn’t want to have a conversation before the audition.
