Chapter 15: New Script
Victor nodded. "Exactly. He knew what he was doing. He manipulated you into selling your assets."
She had earned every dime and every asset by sacrificing her blood, sweat, and tears. But Julian could get it all by simply getting Charlotte to sign a piece of paper.
Selling my assets, my ass, Charlotte didn’t even get a dime from him!
Sophie straightened her posture and met Charlotte’s gaze. "However, we can get those assets back if we can prove that you sold them under duress."
She continued, "Fortunately, the messages he sent, especially the threats, will help strengthen our case."
Charlotte clenched her fists, a hint of anger flickering in her eyes. "Do whatever it takes. He doesn’t deserve a penny of what I’ve worked for."
Victor lifted the corners of his mouth. "Don’t worry, Mrs. Dawson. We’re not called the best legal team for nothing." He said confidently, "We’ll make sure you get what was yours."
After discussing all of the matters, the attorneys promised to take care of her court schedule and to learn more about her cases.
"Please contact us immediately if Mr. Warren threatens you again, ma’am." Victor handed Charlotte his business card. "See you later, Mrs. Dawson."
"Thank you for your time, sir," Charlotte replied.
As the lawyers left the room, Theodore ushered them to the gate, leaving Charlotte and Damon alone in the study.
