"Junior Sect Master Mo, we hope you’ll enjoy this modest ..." Elder Wang intended to announce the beginning of the memorial banquet, but Mo Qingsha interrupted him.
He said, "I’ve heard that Sect Master Evergale was quite a connoisseur when it came to making his own wine. I’d like to taste some of that!"
Everyone, the seven elders and over dozen junior elders present froze hearing his words. Sect master’s hobby wasn’t a secret, but no one ever dared to directly ask for his wine, beer or any alcohol he had had a whim to ferment or distill.
If Thorne Evergale was in particularly good mood, he sometimes let elders sample some of his creations, but those were rare occasions. Usually it happened when an elder had a notable achievement, like comprehending an elemental law, or creating an advanced technique.
"What a fantastic idea!" Elder Su reacted first, "I’ll immediately order someone to bring the best wine the sect master had!"
She ignored Elder Wang’s and Elder Luo’s cold stares, and sent off one of junior elders belonging to her Sect Affairs Hall. Everyone knew she was suspected to be behind the attack on the Nethermoon sect, but since there was no proof, Elder Su continued to behave as if nothing happened.
The main problem was, since the sect master was dead and she was the elder of the Sect Affairs Hall, all diplomatic dealings were under her jurisdiction. Thus, without a second thought, she took the lead in representing the Nethermoon sect.
"Junior Sect Master Mo, why don’t you enjoy the food and watch the performance of our disciples while we bring the alcohol?" She suggested.
"The food can wait." Mo Qingsha said, "I don’t like eating without something to wash it down."
