Chapter Eleven: Not Allowed
Li Yingwan fainted into Chen Nuo’s arms.
When she woke up, she found herself lying on the sofa in her living room. The girl’s first reaction after waking up was to sit up quickly and look around.
Familiar room, familiar sofa, familiar lighting...
A piece of clothing that had been covering her lay on the ground. It was an oversized, oddly styled blue and white sport coat—the strangest part was a large hole in it, as if someone had cut out a piece with scissors.
"Awake?"
Chen Nuo’s voice came from behind her.
Li Yingwan swiftly turned her head and saw the young man standing behind her, leaning lazily against the wall, holding a bowl in one hand and chopsticks in the other.
Chen Nuo quickly finished the chicken soup in his bowl, put them down, and pointed at Li Yingwan’s school uniform. "Can I have my clothes back now? I covered you with it because I was afraid you’d be cold while you were unconscious. You were clutching it so tightly, and I didn’t want to wake you, so I just left it on you."
As he spoke, Chen Nuo snatched back his school uniform. The girl’s small face instantly scrunched up, and she looked pitifully at Chen Nuo.
Her hands clutched the corners of his uniform tightly.
Chen Nuo sighed with a helpless smile. "Hey, little girl, these are my clothes, you know."
