Chapter 24: Arthur’s Wives
"Damnit, I’m sore."
Arthur didn’t know if he should be happy that he was now engaged to Amelia or upset that he couldn’t even win against Janet despite her handicap.
’I’m really happy that Amy is my fiancée now.’
He passed a group of maids who bowed. ’But it is kind of stressful having three wives at thirteen... though I guess I’ll be fourteen in ten days.’
He rubbed his shoulder. ’And what’s the problem with that bastard Reynold? Does he want to rip my arm off?’
He sighed. ’I know he was the one who convinced Mother-in-law to come, but he didn’t have to pat me that hard.’
The last issue that remained was how he was going to announce it to the world.
With the recent rise in magic technology, the press were an option.
But since the Arcains, and not just them, but the entire Northern Territories were foreigners when it came to tech, there wasn’t much he could do.
’Well, I guess I have to settle for a grand, romantic, badass entrance at the academy. I am beautiful, after all.’
After his three-year training, even Arthur doubted he would recognize himself.
