Finally, the testing of Affinities concluded. And though the Dean and other influential figures wanted so badly to rush down and shake the hand of the generational-level genius, they had to hold themselves back.
There was still the 2nd Part of the Trial left, and so as not to disgrace tradition, they had to continue being patient.
Coughing to clear his mind and calm his nerves, Dean Lionheart spoke while trying his best not to stare at the young boy being shamelessly coddled by his sister on the Gorge’s floorbed.
"Of those of you who partook in the 1st Part of the Trial, only 28,936 remain. Those who failed will be asked to quietly leave the testing area, else... you’ll be removed by force."
The coldly threatening words of the lion-maned man sent shivers down the spines of everyone present.
Those who failed and still had thoughts of resisting the outcome no longer had those thoughts; a Grandmaster Mage was no joke, each capable of raining down god’s fury for hundreds of miles in every direction. None wanted to get on the Dean’s bad side.
"As for those of you that passed the 1st Part of the Trial with at least a single Element of Mid or above Affinity Quality, you’ll be asked to take on the 2nd Part of the Trial. The—"
