’Is she grumpy or something?’ wondered Jin.
Though, whatever the case may be, Merida certainly wasn’t in the best of moods right now.
Merida, who had just placed a hand on the Affinity Ball, puffed her cheeks the second she knew nobody could see her face.
"Where’s my Arthur at?? He promised he’d come this year... Is he lying to his big sister now...?" she mumbled under her breath, making a slightly scary expression.
Fortunately, except for the wryly smiling Jin, nobody else heard what Merida said. They were all far too distracted by the giant eruption of red light pulsating off of the Affinity Ball.
"These results..."
The Dean paused before smiling.
"Yet another genius. As expected of someone from the Royal Family."
Moon God Academy was not preferential to those descended from higher social classes, but it was undeniable that genes played a huge role in Elemental talent.
And what better gene-holders were there than those who came from the Royal Family? A family that had endured many generations of selective breeding in order to produce the very cream of the crop?
It was solely because of impeccable genes that the Moonshire Family had been able to stay in power for such a long time. Without those genes, they likely would’ve fallen out of favor centuries ago.
With all eyes on the Affinity Orb Merida was touching, words seemed to manifest on its surface.
