"After reaching an overflow point with my Integrated Essence Refinement, a kind of isolated space and energy reservoir formed inside my body," Jin analyzed, observing a small spherical object of condensed Spiritual Energy with his Mind’s Eye.
What he was looking at was something he would go on to name the |Dantian|, and it would serve as the new and vastly improved Essence Refiner.
Without the |Dantian|, all absorbed and refined energy supplemented by the atmosphere to improve his cultivation speed was sparse and disorganized. But now, with the presence of an embryonic |Dantian|, all attracted atmospheric energy and even the energy contained inside pills and medicines would be focused on one spot. In turn, cultivation speed would increase tremendously, and so too would the quality of the Essence being supplemented.
In simple terms, normal Essence Refinement and its various extensions, such as Essence Integration and Integrated Essence Refinement, relied purely on Jin.
He was the guide, the manager, and the distributor.
But now, with a |Dantian|, most of the heavy load in Essence Refinement was taken away from Jin, as it took on the responsibilities of those functions.
