Chapter 16: Solving Crisis with a Palm
"Ho? Who are you, boy?" The cloaked Leader smirked evilly under his hood. Unconsciously, he scanned the boy, only to realize something bewildering.
"You... Why can’t I sense your cultivation??"
Upon reaching the Martial Grandmaster Realm, your connection with Heaven and Earth and atmospheric spiritual energy would substantially increase. This enabled the more perceptive Martial Grandmasters to ’scan’ their surroundings and even the cultivation levels of those weaker than them.
For the cloaked Leader, who was a seasoned Martial Grandmaster, everything within a couple dozen meters fell under the influence of his scrutiny.
This included Jin.
And yet... his cultivation base still couldn’t be determined.
This didn’t make any sense whatsoever. The speed the young boy just displayed was at least that of a Martial Master, so how could he possibly be cultivationless?
"Well, no matter, since you’re a genius, I’ll give you an option that I won’t give to anyone else in this 2nd Rate Sect," the cloaked Leader started to speak, presenting Jin with two choices.
One: he’d die here alongside the rest of the thousands of Yang Sect members.
Or two: he could join their Ten Devil Sect and live a better life than he’d have in the Yang Sect.
Rather than instantly give an answer to the cloaked Leader, Jin looked past him, at the misty figure standing a few feet behind him. The same figure that he sensed the presence of at the Inner Disciple Advancement Competition three weeks ago.
Coldly snorting, Jin flicked out with his right index finger.
