Chapter 10: Stumbling Through Matches...
"But though this world may be low-level, I must nonetheless remain cautious," Jin reminded himself, fully aware that Martial Saints could easily slap him out of existence if they wanted to.
The extent of his knowledge didn’t matter one single bit if he didn’t possess the power necessary to protect himself. This would remain constant throughout all worlds and timelines.
"The Outer Sect Arena though." Jin changed his line of thought, turning his head to look up at the towering colosseum. Its architecture, like the rest of this world, was very primitive and basic, but it was nevertheless grand.
More importantly, there were beings within the radius of the Outer Sect Arena that immediately drew Jin’s attention. His Against-Heaven’s Understanding thrummed with excitement.
"Outer Elders," he said as he entered the massive Arena and looked up to the Judge stands. There were three of the Elders, and each one was a 1st Layer Martial Master, making them the first Martial Masters that Jin, not Yang Kai, encountered in this world.
But besides a little interest, Jin didn’t care about them.
It was instead the misty figure hiding in the spectator stands that grabbed his attention. This figure, with intentions unknown, possessed a strength near the very peak of the Martial Master Realm.
Considering that each higher Layer in Huaxia posed a wider gap than the ones that came before, this mysterious misty figure could beat dozens of those Outer Elders with ease. It wouldn’t even be a challenge.
"Finally!" Chen Hao’s obnoxious voice echoed from afar, a cruel grin spreading across his face. "I thought you’d never show up, you wastrel!"
Jin looked away from the mysterious misty figure that no one seemed to realize the existence of. His once intrigued gaze fell to one of boredom as soon as he saw the uninteresting brat hollering like a wild beast.
