Chapter 20
TESSA POV
Adam had been in town for a week now and things had been going pretty good. Tyler and him haven’t had any more run ins which was a good sign. Adam was behaving himself and grudgingly taking the jobs that Tyler was assigning him to. And they really were the worst jobs in town.
And I was started to get back into fighting form. Tyler was finally waking up early enough to come jogging with me. And I was now able to do one and a half laps of the territory which I was actually happy about. It was about time I was improving. And when we got back to the packhouse Adam was just leaving for work.
"Have fun on council duty today." Tyler says.
"You have me picking up litter and emptying the public bins in town. How the hell can I have fun with that?" Adam asked.
"I don’t know. Make the most of it." Tyler smirked and pulled me into the house.
"You know, if you keep mocking him like that then he is going to resent you even more and you two will be in each other’s faces again." I say.
"I know. I’m surprised he’s taken it for this long." Tyler says as we were walking up the stairs.
"You are being a little mean." I say.
"He’s put my family through hell. He deserves everything he gets." Tyler says.
"Speaking of which. When do I get to meet the family?" I asked.
"I don’t know. I haven’t even spoken to my family in a while. I’ve been pretty busy around here. My dad knows how it is. He used to be the Alpha." Tyler says.
