Primordial Ancient Serpent

Chapter 431: Karma Chaos Monument and Wisdom Chaos Monument

"This!"

Jieyin Daoren's eyes lit up with a terrifying brilliance. He saw that the newly revealed pattern was densely packed with countless illusory lines—chaotic, disordered, and incomprehensible to the untrained eye.

But he instantly grasped their meaning. These were the Chaos Lines of Karma, and this pattern clearly depicted the supreme essence of the Dao of Karma.

What is karma? Some say it is fate. Others call it destiny. Some claim it is inevitability.

Regardless of how it is defined, karma is the most profound mystery of existence—it unveils the infinite, primordial law that governs all.

And among all cultivators, Jieyin Daoren had delved deepest into the laws of karma.

One must understand: his name, Jieyin (接引), means "to guide" or "to receive." It is also rendered as Sheyin or Jiehua, carrying the sacred implication of a Bodhisattva who leads sentient beings, a teacher who guides disciples.

In Pure Land Buddhism, Jieyin reflects the act of Amitābha Buddha receiving beings into the Pure Land. According to the Pure Land Sect, those who cultivate this Dharma Gate, who possess deep karmic roots, merit, and virtuous affinity, and who sincerely recite the Buddha's name with unwavering mindfulness, will be received by Amitābha himself at the moment of death and be reborn in the Western Pure Land.

But why does Amitābha come to receive them?

Because both parties are karmically connected. If there is no predestined relationship—no karma—then there is no path to reception.

"This is the Karma Chaos Monument."
