The Eater glared at Gu Chuan like the god of death issuing a divine decree—one that foretold Gu Chuan's inevitable demise.
"Then I'll be here waiting," Gu Chuan replied, fearless and composed. Though he fell silent afterward, inwardly, he remained on full alert. He would not underestimate the threat of those who sought to invade the Chaos Universe.
At the same time, the Eater's expression darkened. Its eyes flickered with malice. It was almost certain that the Void Fisherman had interfered somehow, turning the native of this Chaos Universe into something different... something stronger.
