Chapter 85: Sealing the Three-Headed Demon Dog
For ordinary demon gods, this was already a nightmare. But the Quasi-Saint demon gods—those who lurked in the shadows, waiting for the right moment—were the ones truly terrified. They had planned to strike only if the Primordial Ancient Serpent showed signs of weakness, to swarm in like scavengers.
Now, however, they felt fortunate. Had they acted recklessly, they would have been among the fallen.
Truthfully, they considered themselves on par with the Dark Demon Wolf, the Flame Demon Tiger, and other powerful demon gods. Even if they were slightly stronger, it was not by much. Killing opponents of that caliber was no easy feat.
Yet, this Primordial Ancient Serpent had slain nine Quasi-Saint demon gods in a single strike. The sheer difference in power was staggering.
If beings like the Dark Demon Wolf and the Flame Demon Tiger had been eliminated so effortlessly, then what chance did other Quasi-Saint demon gods have? In the eyes of this terrifying entity, killing one ant or ten made no difference at all.
Suddenly, a thunderous voice echoed through the battlefield.
"Haha! Primordial Ancient Serpent, prepare to meet your end! The Three-Headed Demon Dog has arrived!"
From the distance, a colossal demonic beast stormed forward. Its form was no less imposing than the Dark Demon Wolf, and from its body radiated a horrifying demonic aura. Each of its three heads exuded a distinct will, making it appear even more menacing.
The surrounding demon gods instinctively parted, clearing a path for the Three-Headed Demon Dog. It charged forward aggressively, its murderous intent surging, and soon arrived before Chaos City.
However, as it took in the scene before it, confusion flickered in its many eyes. Something was wrong.
According to their previous plan, today was the day they would collectively strike down the Primordial Ancient Serpent. But after being delayed by some unknown matter, the Three-Headed Demon Dog had arrived late—only to find an eerie silence where its allies should have been.
