A while later, Erik and Liliana sat facing each other on the beautiful sofas in the living room, while they received cups of tea from Seraphina, who, after serving them, stood behind Erik with a professional smile on her face.
"My master told me you wanted to talk to me about something."
Seeing the nervous Liliana, Erik commented with a smile, wondering what the girl wanted to discuss, which led Liliana to take a couple of deep breaths to gather her courage. Then she looked Erik directly in the eyes, at which point she began to speak in a serious and almost formal tone.
"Erik, the truth is that I've realized my mistakes and I want to move on, so I want to talk to you seriously to apologize for my previous behavior and, if possible, to start over."
Liliana's words caused a confused expression on Erik's face, who turned to look at Seraphina as if asking for explanations, but the beautiful, perfect maid simply smiled elegantly without saying anything. Seeing that Seraphina didn't want to explain anything, Erik had no choice but to sigh in defeat and ask the chocolate-haired girl.
"Liliana, honestly, I don't understand why you want to apologize to me. Did you do something?"
The question caused a confused expression to form on Liliana's face, who looked at Erik, not very sure if he was serious or just making fun of her. But as always, that fool seemed unable to lie even if his life depended on it, which brought a small smile to her face and gave her enough courage to start explaining.
"Yes, I did quite a bit, and I know you're aware of it: how I treated you with indifference, what I thought of you, and that I didn't behave like a proper older sister."
A bit surprised, Erik looked Liliana up and down, but upon noticing her expression and realizing that she really meant what she said, the star-haired boy couldn't help bursting into laughter. Meanwhile, the teacup he was holding began to float in the air thanks to a phantom hand.
After laughing heartily, Erik wiped a few small tears from his eyes and spoke as he tried to calm down. Then he began to talk, still looking genuinely amused, while Seraphina, with swift and practiced movements, began to tidy up the clothes and the beautiful starry hair of her young master.
"Hahaha, you're really very sweet, Liliana, haha, and that's not something to apologize for..." Erik had no choice but to take a couple of deep breaths to avoid laughing again, and shortly afterward, he continued speaking.
