The earth cracked beneath Arthur’s boots as he landed, the air around him shimmering with residual power. His dark cloak fluttered in the wind, kicked up from the battle’s aftermath. Silence loomed ominous and expectant until Galatea dropped to one knee beside him.
"Apologies, my king," she said, her voice laced with frustration and reverence. "There were only two of them, and still I..."
Arthur didn’t let her finish. He placed a hand on her armored shoulder, calm and resolute.
"You did well, Galatea.. You aided Raven and took the fight away from my family’s home."
That was all he said. That was all he needed to say.
He stepped past her with measured grace, violet light gently pulsing from his ring. Behind him, Raven descended, her cloak billowing, eyes still narrowed from the clash.
