The wind swept gently across the mountain peak, carrying the crisp scent of snow and pine. From up here, the world felt distant, tiny lights from the cities below flickering like fireflies. Arthur sat with his arms resting on his knees, his gaze locked on the horizon. Kara sat beside him, leaning back on her hands, staring up at the sky. The world had just barely survived another catastrophe, but for once, things felt... still.
Then, she turned to him, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "So, what's your goal, Arthur?"
Arthur exhaled through his nose, not looking at her. "That's a loaded question, Justice League Agent."
"You really don't like the Justice League," Kara pressed, tilting her head slightly. "I mean, you fought Batman."
Arthur said calmly "It's not that I have problems with the Justice League members. I just don't think they do what needs to be done."
