Chapter 70: Too Far?
Thud!
"Cough! Cough!"
Alicia's eyes widened at the coughing figure that crashed right before them—Blonde hair, darker than his. The figure's pupils were not visible, rolled back into her sockets. She was about to lose consciousness.
Her left shoulder burned with sparks of amethyst, and the white coat she wore now had a black spot like a piece of charcoal. Her finger twitched as if lightning ran through her.
"Alea!" The girl with red hair who was standing beside Alicia stepped forward, kneeling beside the injured one. She had introduced herself as Leona Von Emberhold—the sister of the gentleman she had met before—Raiden Von Emberhold.
The other white-haired girl, Cynthia, had just run off to protect her brother from the man who violated him—leaving him crumpled and bloodied.
A man she knew all too well. After all, he was her mentor's nephew.
The person she always thought was a man who could only sit in quiet corners, thinking about something. Antagonising anyone who would approach him—Although this part still applies.
But this was different.
Alicia's body stiffened, her breath caught in her throat as she looked at the young man before her. His face dripped with crimson, piercing silver eyes locked onto the red-haired boy and the white-haired girl with a cold, surgical precision.
His coat was no longer white from the blood that was splattered onto it by his own fists. He held no blade or club in his hands, just his bloodied clenched knuckles.
