Chapter 56: An Oath Of A Forgotten Knight
My eyes opened to a dark blue sky, snowflakes drifting down. My body felt nothing—No smell, no taste, nothing. It was as if two out of my five senses were absent completely.
My body was lying against a soft and cold surface, which seemed like soil. Around the edges of my vision few white long tundras were planted.
Dante?
Croft?
Those two did not respond to me, which I found strange. It was as if their roots had been taken out of my head.
The last thing I remember was fighting Arvax The Oathbound, almost dying while defeating him, after that, I... fainted?
"Did I die?" I muttered, pushing myself up from the surface. My vision now was filled with white—Tundras, snow gathering in the distance.
"Afterlife is supposed to be this cold?"
"You are not dead yet, child." A deep and smooth voice belonging to a man echoed behind me.
I turned around in an instant, putting my arms up. Making myself ready for another fight. "Who the hell?!"
"Calm down, you won already." It was a man sitting down on a white rock. He had snow white hair and sapphire blue eyes. His skin was as fair as snow, covered by an armour of frost. His shoulder pads were embedded with small spikes of ice.
