Chapter 74: Stress Relief

"The big day is tomorrow, right, nya~?" Kuroka asked as she comfortably lounged on my lap, looking up at me with slightly sensual eyes as she leaned into my chest.
"It is," I confirmed easily with a nod. The duel with Sirzechs was only a day away, and I'd been working around the clock recently.
I had sealed Ajuka only a few hours ago, and had spent the time since then charming pretty much every maid or servant in his Estate with Velrissa. I suspected that the supergenius probably had some type of backup in case something happened to him, or at the very least that he had ordered his servants to report if he didn't come back in a timely manner.
One night was the perfect timeframe for Ajuka to be missing now that none of the servants would report it - his disappearance would probably only be noticed when he wasn't attending the duel tomorrow, but by then it would be too late.
Having the servants charmed would be nice for the future, too, as I'd be able to have easier access to all of Ajuka's inventions and a better insight into what he had planned. I had a plan in mind for when he finally broke out of the sacred gear, but it could never hurt to have extra precautions.
I hadn't needed to take similar precautions with Azazel because I had spied on the man enough in preparation to know he didn't have a strict schedule. He'd be blacked-out drunk at a bar some nights, or be away from the Grigori headquarters for days on end at times.
A big deal wouldn't be made of his disappearance for a couple of days at least normally - or, more likely now, tomorrow. Not because his disappearance would be realized naturally, but because he would've been swamped with meetings after what I did tomorrow.
"Are you ready for it?" Kuroka asked, still looking up at me with sensual eyes, "Preparing for a duel with Sirzechs must be pretty... stressful~ I heard human boxers always have sex before a big fight~"
I'm pretty sure they do the opposite, but maybe it was different in this world.
