Chapter 84 : Wanda Wants to Have a Child
The messy library, with damaged ancient books piled up like a mountain, would leave any disciple stunned upon entering.
Whoosh!
"Recovery technique."
With a push of Finn's hands, a bright white light illuminated the entire library. Mysterious incantations emerged, filling the surrounding space. Destroyed bookshelves and scattered ancient tomes bathed in the glow, gradually restoring themselves at a speed visible to the naked eye until they were completely intact.
Seeing the books returned to their pristine state, Wanda's eyes widened in amazement. "Finn, your magic is seriously impressive!"
She remembered Finn mentioning his extraordinary abilities before, but this guy seemed to master a new trick every time he just glanced at something.
"I just pay attention." Finn stretched, the glow from the restored lightbulb casting a warm hue on his face. "Witch, you should focus on mastering the Darkhold first."
After all, their recent battle against the other Wanda had shown that she was at a severe disadvantage. That version of Wanda from another universe was clearly on a whole different level, wielding the full power of the Darkhold.
"I'm working hard, okay? I practice every day." Wanda muttered, though she took his words seriously.
Thinking back to the fight with her multiversal counterpart, the realization stung—her other self had dominated the battle completely. The gap between them was insurmountable. And worse, she couldn't shake the nagging worry that Finn might be taken from her.
"What's wrong? You look a little off," Finn asked gently, noticing her distracted expression.
