Chapter 78 : The Scarlet Confrontation
In the early morning, the station hall in Westview Town was a bit cold. A few weary travelers lay sprawled across the benches in the waiting area, drowsily anticipating the arrival of the next train.
The flight attendants sitting nearby, previously preoccupied with their phones, suddenly straightened up when the sound of an approaching train filled the station.
In a dimly lit corner, flickering crimson light momentarily illuminated the space as two figures carrying suitcases materialized from thin air.
"Finn, I used this magic for the first time, and it worked!"
Wanda's voice was laced with excitement as she scanned her surroundings, a bright smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Her small, snow-white canine teeth peeked through as she beamed at Finn.
"That's why I said witches have extraordinary abilities," Finn replied, patting her head. He picked up the suitcase, his voice dropping to a calm, steady tone. "The bus will be here soon. Let's go."
"Mhm."
Wanda checked the time—only a few minutes before they could board. She clenched her fists, determination flashing in her eyes. She had to get away from her, had to stay far from that impostor. And when the time came, Stephen would send her back where she belonged.
But just as she reached for Finn's hand, her entire body froze.
A familiar, chilling voice echoed behind them.
"Finn, where are you going with her?"
