Chapter 74 : Finn, Is Alive in this universe ?
By the Lake of the Manor
The autumn wind rustled through the skeletal branches of the trees near the lake, carrying the crisp scent of fallen leaves. The water shimmered under the sun's golden light, while scattered yellow leaves drifted lazily on its surface, rippling with the gentle breeze.
In a beautifully crafted gazebo, Finn and Wanda sat side by side, each holding a fishing rod. They had bought some bait earlier, prepared to enjoy a peaceful afternoon.
"Some say fishing tests a person's concentration," Finn mused aloud. "And I suppose they have a point..."
Yet, after sitting still for a while, he found himself growing restless. He could sit for hours if he was occupied, but simply staring at the water quickly made him bored. Eventually, he gave in to the urge and pulled out his phone, scrolling through it absentmindedly.
"You have no concentration," Wanda remarked, rolling her eyes at him. "Seriously, you're hopeless."
"That's different," Finn smirked, shifting his gaze toward her. "I only act like this around you. Do you see me doing this with anyone else?"
His teasing tone was enough to make Wanda scoff, but she ignored him, focusing on her fishing line.
After glancing around and confirming no one was nearby, Finn leaned slightly closer, his deep, star-like eyes locking onto hers. His voice dropped, rich and low.
"Witch, let's stab later, okay?"
Wanda blinked, confused. "Huh? What are you talking about?"
