Outside the door.
"Finn? I know you're home. I heard footsteps."
Agatha narrowed her eyes, glancing down at the shadow visible in the crack beneath the door.
Someone was standing there—it was obvious. But she hesitated, fingers of her left hand curling slightly behind her back as a black magical sphere formed in her palm.
She knocked again with her free hand. "Finn? Are you sure you don't want to open the door?"
The story wasn't over yet.
Boom!
The door blurred for a split second. Then—like a predator striking in the dark—a black shadow burst through the heavy iron door at an inhuman speed, lunging straight for Agatha!
It moved so fast that it was impossible to react.
