Zhao Wenjin didn’t know what had happened at home. She was happily traveling with Liao Jiayu, starting from the south and heading north, staying a few extra days at fun places.

They’d stay just a day at less interesting spots before quickly moving on, and by the time they returned to Capital City, it was the end of July.

Though both had said they wished they could have stayed longer, the moment they got into the car, they instantly went from sitting to lying down.

Liao Kai looked at the two without an ounce of decorum and said, "You’re tired, huh? Right, you called me yesterday and asked for a simple meal: just porridge with pickled vegetables. Did I hear that right?"

Even though Liao Kai was confident in his hearing and was pretty sure he hadn’t misunderstood, such a meal seemed far too bland to him.

Zhao Wenjin nodded, confirming that’s what they wanted to eat, "After being out for over a month and eating so lavishly, now I feel like eating something light if possible."

"I think my stomach is overwhelmed with greasy food." Zhao Wenjin acknowledged that they had really planned the trip wrong.

"We should have traveled northwards since the further south you go, the lighter the food tastes become."

Instead, she chose to go north so as they traveled, the cuisine became increasingly heavy-flavored, and slowly, they ate less and less.

Liao Jia felt much better just thinking that once home, she could have porridge, "I always thought the food outside was delicious."
