The following day, Li Qiao specifically took her child to the large courtyard to practice the tea ceremony, planning to show off her elegance in front of the clients tomorrow.
Once she made sure everything was perfect, she prepared to make a trip to the library to familiarize herself with the customs and culture of the clients’ country from books, based on what she had learned from the conversation the day before, to facilitate better communication.
She intended to have Old Mrs. Qin take care of the baby for a while when she got back to the small courtyard, but Old Mrs. Qin was napping. The elderly lady didn’t sleep much to begin with, and Li Qiao didn’t have the heart to disturb her; after some consideration, she decided to take the child to the school.
After dressing the child in warm clothes, she placed him in the stroller and pushed him along.
There were quite a few students in the school who hadn’t gone home for the holiday, some of whom recognized Li Qiao and took the initiative to come up and greet her, "Li, is this your child? May I have a look?"
"Of course, you may," Li Qiao said generously, lifting the cover of the stroller to reveal the child inside.
"So beautiful, has skin like you, looks like your partner, right?"
