Chapter 428 - 430: Where Does The Confidence Come From_1
The wind outside was piercing cold, with the snow falling heavier and heavier.
The shuttle bus had stopped running, and the bike ride was too far, so Qin Jin decided to stay overnight. He used the office phone to call the Xue Family, and it just so happened that Xue Lingqing picked up. He thus asked Xue to inform Old Mrs. Qin that they wouldn’t be coming home that night.
Xue Lingqing agreed promptly.
After hanging up the phone, Qin Jin went to the cafeteria to get some food.
Li Qiao noticed a bowl of thick white rice porridge inside the insulated box: "Why take porridge when there’s rice?"
"It’s for my son."
Li Qiao: "Didn’t you say that you should wait until he’s six months old before adding supplementary foods?"
"A little over five months should be okay, I think. He needs to drink milk so often that it seems it’s not enough for him anymore. Porridge can stave off hunger; let him eat a little at first and then we’ll slowly add other things later," Qin Jin said as he began to feed porridge to the baby.
The child was trying something other than formula for the first time and maybe wasn’t used to the taste. His facial features twisted slightly in rejection of another sip.
Qin Jin patiently coaxed, "Son, this is good stuff. Even your dad couldn’t always have had it when I was little."
Li Qiao continued, "Porridge will be your main food in the future, you’ve got to get used to it early."
