Thankfully, given the severity of the incident, neighbours on either side were well aware, and when Xie Jingzi later requested leave after the fact, the teacher, upon hearing the reason, promptly waved his hand in understanding, indicating all was fine.
Seeing the teacher so amenable, Xie Jingzi hastened to ask for three days off.
It couldn’t be helped; even though her sister-in-law eventually gave birth without issues, the impact and pressure had undoubtedly hurt her body. No matter how strong she was, it couldn’t change the fact that she was pregnant. Not just her Third Brother, even Xie Tiesheng and Zhou Xiuhua, who typically dislike hospitals, unanimously insisted that Zhang Shanni rest a few more days in the hospital to ensure a thorough check-up before going home.
