Mountain Eagle was unaware of the conversation between Anna and her mother. After the operation on Fishing Pole was completed, he dismissed the doctor’s advice and pulled him back onto the van before heading to Moscow Filí Park to meet Sofia.
The van stopped outside what looked like a grand, yet antiquated park entrance. As Mountain Eagle got out, he saw Sofia sitting on a bench across the lawn, looking down at her hands, lost in thought.
Mountain Eagle sensed something amiss. Just as he was about to cross the grass with a frown to meet her, Butcher suddenly tugged at him from behind...

He didn’t believe Sofia would betray him. Besides, "across the street" not only meant crossing a road but also a small river, putting the gunman well over 600 meters away from both him and Sofia.
For such a distance, hitting the target wasn’t an issue, but if it were only an AK, precise shooting at this range would be laughable.
Crow decreased altitude, permitting Mountain Eagle to clearly see the situation on the rooftop across the street.
