Chapter 203 The Fool
Mountain Eagle made a call to Victoria, telling her what he wanted the undercover agent to do, and received a quite positive response.
Bolonicov was clearing the area. In reality, the manpower he had prepared was far more than just those in the factory; there were others currently scattered across other parts of Moscow. They were the real action team. The security at the factory was primarily for his safety.
This is getting interesting!
Upon receiving the news, as Mountain Eagle waited for the undercover operation to commence, he took Butcher and the others around the vast cemetery park.
Using Crow’s aerial perspective, they swiftly identified about twenty shooting positions, leaving some water and ammunition as supplies at each spot.
Then they moved onto the highway. At a distance of 3 kilometers from the factory, centered around a large tree, they turned a 500-meter radius area into a battlefield. All positions suitable for cover were marked, and more supplies were left there.
Butcher’s trust in Mountain Eagle was not blind. At first, when searching for positions in the cemetery, Butcher even felt it was somewhat superfluous.
But it wasn’t until he stood at a relatively higher vantage point and looked again that he realized those seemingly haphazard shooting spots actually all had mutual covering relationships.
Moreover, there were at least two escape routes near each position, and though they were almost forty to fifty meters apart, plenty of objects could serve as cover in between.
If the enemy wasn’t prepared, it might be possible for just two to three men to hold many of the enemy at bay in the cemetery.
The battlefield on the highway was even more so, with the bushes on both sides and some natural ditches and pits being utilized.
