"Miss. Song!"
As Jia waited under a big tree in Brightside University, a familiar figure came running to her side with a brightened expression.
"Daxia," Jia smiled. "Nice to see you."
"Same here, Miss. Song. It’s been quite a while. I heard Shilin works with Dr. Yang right? How is that going?"
The mention of Mingshen inwardly brought a pang of frustration in her heart and the entire ugly conversation replayed in her mind.
Not now Jia, not now.
She smiled again. "Pretty good. He is a hard worker and is learning well from his senior Bojing."
She beamed. "Oh Mr. Lu. How is he? Does he still cry a lot?"
Jia chuckled. "That’s how he is. Yet, he isn’t weak in the slightest."
She nodded. "He has a good heart. So tell me, Miss. Song. You said you wanted to meet me regarding Yong. Actually, I haven’t seen her today. I tried calling her too, but she isn’t picking up my calls. I was about to head to her home to see if she is sick."
Jia pursed her lips. "She isn’t and that’s why I am here. She is...involved in something pretty serious and it’s very important we find her."
