"I still don’t get it. If she put in the sleeping pills, then she already knew that Wan Guanting was deep asleep. Then she suffocated him. What took her so long to come out of his room then?"
Mingshen shrugged. "Some people like to stay with dead bodies."
"I am talking about a normal woman here, not you," Jia voiced her displeasure.
"Killers are usually not normal~"
She ignored it and continued. "If she genuinely went to talk to him like she says, then either way she would have seen that he wasn’t in any state to talk. Once again, she should have been out of that room in minutes."
"So you think she is innocent," he arched his brow.
"I am more inclined to believe Chow Mey’s statement. She realized he was dead, perhaps fainted due to shock and hurriedly left after she regained her senses. If it was premeditated then she cannot be that stupid to kill him knowing that we would catch her sooner or later," she shook her head. "Then there is the cold medicine in his alcohol."
"Somebody thinks that he took it as a preventive measure," he sneered. "Yeah he was so desperate that he couldn’t even find a glass of water that he had to resort to alcohol."
Her brow twitched. "I agree it’s strange. What happens if you ingest a cold medicine with alcohol?"
Mingshen beamed as if he was floating on the ninth cloud. "Spicy, you should talk to me like this more."
