Jia walked in with her crutch’s support. Her gaze alternated between Mingshen and Wen Luoyoang.
The latter was puzzled. "Why are the cops here? I do have a valid license for your information."
Huojin smiled. "We are not here for a surprise check."

Wen Luoyoang stared at Mingshen with disbelief.
How could he talk to a cop like that?
Jia asked, "Have you ever seen bubbles, Mingshen?"
"Obviously."
"They pop. Try not to inflate your self-importance till it reaches that point," she icily curled her lips into a dry smile.
He laughed. "I am so touched by your concern. Soooo, how did you like my gift~"
He threw a teasing wink at Huojin. "I think you should be expressing your gratitude to me right now."
