Chapter 68: Walking amongst the dead (1)
"Yang Mingshen..." Jia’s body convulsed akin to a volcano shaking just before its violent eruption. But the force of the impending danger had no effect on Mingshen.
Instead he said, pleased, "I was just wishing for us to get some privacy and look how luck played in our favor! Aren’t you thrilled with pure joy? I can still feel the tingles of being trapped in this spooky haunted house with you alone~"
"Right now my palm is tingling to trap your ugly face in a tight slap," she cursed her luck.
Why do I always get stuck with him!?
He snorted. "Spicy, cross your heart and say that you lied. The truth is that my beauty makes your heart beat go all wild and haywire. How can you associate the adjective ugly to my face?" He harrumphed as if greatly wronged.
"S-sis..." Bojing squeezed in to ease the tension and the growing murderous intent which Jia oozed. "It’s j-just a matter of fifteen minutes or so. We will be out in no t-time..."
Jia took comfort in Bojing’s presence and took a deep breath. "Someday, he will make me break the law and shoot him with my own hands!"
"Aish, Spicy~ Turning against your favorite law for my sake has such a melodious ring to it," Mingshen cast a dreamy look. "I wonder when that day will come."
As a peacemaker, Bojing walked in between them. Mingshen’s icy and pointed gaze commanded him to move aside so that he could walk beside Jia. He hastily ignored his aura and shifted his attention away which fell on a familiar face in the group ahead he had just met a few minutes ago.
"Shilin...?"
Shilin heard his name and turned. "Oh Mr. Lu? It seems we ended up in the same group."
