Chapter 96: Velos 1
Since there were no assigned seat numbers, a bit of chaos erupted as some students scrambled for window seats to enjoy the outside view.
Even the teachers struggled to stop the students from fighting over seats.
However, once Thomas and the others—the Awakener students—stepped in to assist the teachers in calming things down, the students quickly settled.
They sat in their preselected area, in the back row but on the opposite end from Luis and Alice.
Their eyes couldn’t help but glance at Luis with various expressions as they saw him sitting beside Alice, signaling that their closeness had clearly surpassed mere friendship.
They hadn’t thought their relationship had reached that level, but it seemed to them that Luis was trying to get close to Alice, and she wasn’t avoiding him. She was open to being approached.
This wasn’t the case when any of them had tried to get close to Alice. Even when Thomas did, she had coldly ignored him.
Although Thomas still liked her, he no longer had the courage to approach her again.
After a brief conversation with Luis, Alice returned to looking at her phone.
She didn’t hide the screen from him, and what she was doing was simply reading a fantasy novel.
