Chapter 63: Too Expensive
"Madam, what is the ability of this Double Power Mirror?" Luis asked.
That was the name of the mirror—Double Power Mirror.
Unfortunately, only the name and starting price were displayed. There was no description, as the screen obviously couldn’t fit the details of each item being auctioned.
Basically, everyone was expected to already know the capabilities of the items they wanted.
"How should I explain this? Basically, this mirror can store our reflection when we stand in front of it. That reflection can then launch the same attack as we do, from inside the mirror. It’s perfect for someone like me who uses fire abilities. My reflection in the mirror can unleash my fire attacks, so there will be two attacks instead of one, without me using any extra energy. But if it’s for you—or anyone who fights with physical strength—this mirror isn’t suitable," Madam Sofia explained.
"Well, for anyone with long-range attack capabilities, this mirror is truly helpful," she added.
After hearing the explanation, Luis nodded. He thought the starting price was indeed worth it, as the mirror significantly increased a person’s combat strength.
Luis just didn’t know whether the Monster Cores that Madam Sofia had would be enough, even with the additional 50 million he could contribute.
He hadn’t yet asked how much she actually had.
Of course, he couldn’t lend her more, as he himself wanted to win two items and was already worried his own Monster Cores might not be enough.
One thing that made Luis uncomfortable was that the Imperial Academy students were actually seated behind him and Madam Sofia.
