Chapter 2: Supporting the Waist
Mrs. Wang started making a scene, yelling and sobbing.
Zhao Baishan felt a headache coming on and finally had to awkwardly laugh and say to the unyielding Zhao Guifen, "In-law, why are you getting so upset? The idea of dividing the family didn’t come from us alone; it was the clan’s decision."
"Did you hear that? It was the clan’s decision!" Mrs. Wang coldly snorted and then began shouting without a hint of guilt, pointing at Zhao Zhitong and yelling.
"It’s all because of this damned girl! When she was born, the sky was covered in dark clouds, and there was thunder and lightning. Do you really want her to stay and curse our whole family? You heartless old woman!"
Zhao Zhitong, who was still in a dazed state leaning on Sun Mei’s shoulder, suddenly found herself the target. Zhao Dong immediately became anxious, "Mother, what nonsense are you talking about? My daughter is not an Evil Star!"
