Chapter 1254 - 1253: Quite the Skill, Aren’t You!
She didn’t ask why Alan Morgan left when he found out the truth, nor did she ask why he came back to her side again.
She was afraid that if she said the wrong thing, the man in front of her would disappear.
After Alan Morgan got out of bed and changed his clothes, he washed up and went downstairs, leaving Shirley Grant alone in the main bedroom.
Looking at the bedroom, Shirley Grant felt a surge of complex emotions.
Gently pulling open the bedroom curtains, she stood on the balcony, staring expressionlessly outside.
When Alan Morgan finished making breakfast and came upstairs, he saw Shirley Grant standing there motionless.
The morning sunlight shone on her, casting a halo around her.
This kind of Shirley Grant was breathtakingly beautiful.
Alan Morgan walked over slowly and gently hugged her waist from behind.
"Hmm?"
Shirley Grant was startled, shivering at the sudden scare, and turned around to find it was Alan Morgan.
"Don’t be afraid."
How could someone like Alan Morgan not detect Shirley Grant’s fear just moments ago?
What could she have been through to make her so anxious even when receiving a hug?
"Breakfast is ready, shall we go down together?"
Shirley Grant nodded, but then shook her head.
"I haven’t changed clothes, brushed my teeth, or washed my face yet."
She had been standing there for so long, and Alan Morgan had already made breakfast.
"Shall I join you?"
Alan Morgan held her, not allowing her to struggle or escape.
"No need, I’m okay."
Shirley Grant forced a smile.
Seeing her like this, Alan Morgan nodded and left.
Shirley Grant didn’t dawdle this time; she quickly got herself ready and went downstairs swiftly.
As soon as she went downstairs, she saw Alan Morgan standing in the living room, talking on the phone.
"I don’t care what you think or what you’ve done before, I just hope you know what to do now!"
Alan Morgan’s tone was very harsh, his voice so loud it echoed throughout the living room.
"I said before, none of you have the right to meddle in my affairs. I was banished from the Morgan family back then; do you think inheriting the company means I’ve forgiven you?"
On the other end of the line, Alan’s mother was very angry. What was her son talking about?
"I’m telling you, if you do anything to Shirley Grant again, don’t blame me for disregarding the years of family ties!"
"Alan, what are you talking about? That woman is not worthy of you at all."
"Don’t talk to me about who’s worthy. In your eyes, a match is no more than measuring money and status. If I, Alan Morgan, had nothing now, would those so-called ladies have any interest in me?"
Alan Morgan just couldn’t fathom what was going through his parents’ heads.
"Now you’re using such lowly tactics to deal with a woman? Great skills, indeed. I think such dirty deeds aren’t even good enough to match my dad. Should I give you some money to get lost too?"
At this moment, Alan Morgan cared nothing for family ties. Just thinking of the grievances Shirley Grant suffered and the time missed over these seven years filled him with rage.
If it were truly an issue between the two of them, it would be one thing, but now to be told that the one causing trouble behind the scenes was his own mother.
Isn’t this the biggest joke?
"Alan, your words hurt mom so much. How can you say such things as a son?"
Are these words a junior should be saying?
