Chapter 132: The one above
"Ha, humans think they are the center of everything," she said.
She pushed down with her sword, pushing Quin back a few steps. She attacked, slashing with a flurry of attacks, but Quin blocked all of them with ease.
"You are really good, I have to say, Quin, but not good enough," she said with a smile and stabbed. Her sword glowed blood red. Quin parried the stab, yet somehow a slash formed on the side of his stomach.
His eyes glanced at the wound and back at her. "You have some tricks. Sadly, I’m tired of this," Quin said and attacked. She tried to block, but her sword passed through him.
"Behind you," he said before slashing. She blocked at the last moment but was thrown back. She managed to stop midair, flying with her wings, but just as she stopped, Quin appeared behind her and slashed again.
She couldn’t block the attack and was sent down like a meteor. She slammed into the ground and formed a massive crater.
She struggled to get back on her feet. "How is it possible that you are this much stronger?" she said.
"Whatever information that you have about me is sadly incomplete. I’ll ask you this—have you heard of the one above?" he asked, slowly coming down. He landed on the ground and started walking toward her.
"The one above? You mean the human myth said to be stronger than every human, the Guardian of Vermilion? That’s just a myth that sprung up years ago. There exists no such human," she said.
"Your ignorance is beautiful," Quin said and vanished, moving so fast it was as if he teleported. She raised her sword at the last moment and managed to block his attack. Her body shot back like a bullet. She slammed into the ground, tossed and rolled until she broke through the fence and multiple trees.
Quin slowly started walking toward her. His pace was calm and unrushed. He walked until he got to the fence; the dust that rose was slowly settling.
