Chapter 127: Twenty seconds
Riven looked into the library, staring at the gate. He decided to just go in—he had to stop the demonized one way or the other.
"I wouldn’t do that if I were you," Arin spoke. She had a smile on her face.
"Even an instructor would die if he faced the ability of the demonized about to come out of this gate. You don’t stand a chance, Rank One," she said.
"It doesn’t matter. I have to stop you from opening the remaining gates," Riven said.
"Oh? So you know about the other gates? I’d like to know how you know about them, but for now, I’ll have to say goodbye," she said, and from the gate, the demonized came out.
A long black skinny hand stretched out of the gate. Its claws were several inches long.
"Bro, we have to go." Noel grabbed Riven by the shoulder and pulled him back.
"But the gate," Riven said.
"Screw the gate, you’ll die if you face those demonized," Noel said.
"But if we allow them, the entire area will turn into rubble," Riven said. He turned and pushed Noel. "Go tell everyone that demonized are coming. Get the instructors here as fast as you can. I’ll hold them off," Riven said.
"You can’t. I know you are strong, but this isn’t something you can win, Riven," Noel said.
