Chapter 97: Tossed around
Mutated demonized, they were a special type of demonized that gained some sort of unique ability. That ability was, most times, overpowered, and the mutated caused a lot of damage.
When Riven’s attack was completely destroyed, he already knew that something was up. This demonized was mutated, and she could destroy mana entirely.
"Seems like our attacks aren’t working," Noel said, his eyes darting around, looking for a solution that would work.
"She is somehow destroying the mana in the attacks," Riven said.
"I see, but that doesn’t mean we can’t use mana on ourselves," he said with a grin and charged in. His feet crackled with lightning, and in the next second, he vanished, moving so fast the normal eye could not follow.
But the demonized was far from normal. Its head snapped in the direction Noel was coming from and attacked. Noel was forced to come to a halt and block the attack. He was blown back, but he didn’t suffer any injuries.
Using the opening his brother created, Riven charged in from the blind spot. He leaped into the air, took a deep breath, and slashed down.
It looked at him mid air and blocked the attack, the ground beneath it cracking slightly. The blade dug into its arm and drew its dark red blood.
It grabbed Riven by the neck and tried to crush it. Riven reacted immediately and stabbed into the arm. The demonized roared madly and threw him across the training ground.
