An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me

Chapter 33: Second Floor

But he had heavily underestimated the regeneration of an Orc. As he got within range, the Orc had already regenerated half of its injuries, and it could move its arms.

The Orc swung its mace at Riven. It whistled through the air and headed for his chest. Riven had to react fast; he used his sword to block the attack.

He blocked it, but the force immediately sent him flying to a wall. His sword fell out of his hands, and he slammed his back on the wall, passing out for a second before coming back.

He slowly looked up, pushing through the pain, and he saw that the Orc was now almost fully regenerated and it was charging at him.

"I shouldn’t have bitten more than I can chew, but I don’t have a choice now," Riven thought. He looked at his sword, and it was too far for him to get to; the Orc was already headed for him.

"I guess there’s no use hiding it if I’m going to die." He stretched out his hand, and blood seeped out of his body. It flowed, twisting and turning until it formed into a scythe just before the Orc swung its mace.

With one hand on the scythe, and with another, he used blood manipulation to shoot a streak of blood to the Orc’s face, confusing the Orc for an instant and giving him the time to dodge the mace.

He rolled out of the way, got on his feet, and with one final push, he went for the tusk. He slashed at full force. The scythe hit the tusk and cleanly cut it off.

The tusk spun through the air and landed on the ground. The cave went ghost quiet for a few seconds, and then came a roar of pain. The Orc let out its cry, shaking the walls of the cave. This pain was somehow greater than the pain of getting its entire chest blown out with explosions earlier.
