Chapter 29: Dungeon Goblins
Riven got everything that he needed from the stalls around, some bread and water, and a torch. He could use his own flames to light the way, but he felt that was an unnecessary waste of mana, so he decided not to.
He walked to the gates of the dungeon, two guards clad in black armour stood at either side. They looked uninteresting, but Riven could tell right away that they had a lot of strength.
He showed the guard his permit, the guard took it and had a close look at it, he then looked at Riven closely before handing the permit back to him.
"Be careful in there kid, since last night only three floors have been explored, you should try not to go deeper than that," the guard said.
Riven nodded and walked into the dungeon. He was shocked at the speed they had explored the dungeon, to be able to explore three floors in one night, that meant the adventurers and other organizations moved fast.
Immediately he stepped into the dungeon, it was like he had stepped into another realm, the air was stale and warm, it felt sticky and hard to move through.
The musty wet smell of the mossy rocks filled the cave, the smell of something very ancient. The inside of the cave was lit by torches, probably set by adventurers that already went in. Their flickering light cast distorted shadows all around.
He pulled out his sword, keeping his guard up, he headed deeper into the cave. After walking a small distance, he began hearing the sound of people talking up ahead.
He kept walking until he saw a small spaced room in the cave that led to four different caves. He saw a few people there all trying to decide what path to follow.
