Chapter 342: Flashback - 82••
Silas’s death was something Krivan had never even imagined—that if he killed Silas’s mates, Silas would also kill himself.
His eyes widened, and he quickly rushed to Silas, pushing away both Velric and Orian, and held Silas.
"No—No, you can’t leave me like this, Silas. Please wake up. You know I love you, so how can you kill yourself? I don’t accept this—wake up right now!"
Then he heard a voice in his mind, which was telling him that he should use black magic on Silas to bring him back to life. He touched Silas’s chest; a black aura was coming out from his hand and going into the body. But Silas didn’t wake up even after five minutes, because his soul had already given up on becoming alive again. He didn’t have any hope.
Tears were streaming down from Krivan’s eyes. He was crying, holding Silas’s corpse. Seeing this opportunity, Orian thought of running away from there, taking Velric with him.
He picked up Velric and started running away, but Krivan noticed that and slit Orian’s throat. Still, Orian fell down on his knees while holding Velric tightly in his arms to keep him safe. His eyes closed, but his grip didn’t loosen from Velric at all.
Velric had already realized something was wrong, until Krivan pulled Velric out of Orian’s lap.
"These bastards resemble all of those bastards. He is their seed. I don’t like him, but I won’t kill him either. Throw him into the dungeon right now."
Hearing him, soldiers came and grabbed Velric and threw him into the dungeon. He was crying and scared of that dark place.
But no matter how many times he cried, no one took him out of the dungeon—until someone finally called him out after he had spent a week there. He was only given hard bread, which was supposed to be thrown into the trash. But a hungry kid doesn’t know what to eat or what not to eat—he was eating everything they gave him.
He used to cry all night, calling for his parents. He had thought that his parents would come to save him eventually, but he was wrong.
