POV I couldn’t believe my ears. Like, he is seriously joking right now. But he went really far. Because who would joke like this in front of the sons about their father?

"Meyer, learn some manners. You can’t joke around like this about Dad. If he finds out about this, he’s gonna beat the shit out of you."

As I said that, suddenly Meyer’s eyes became teary, and he handed me the letter. Orian and I exchanged glances, and Orian stood beside me to read the letter. But when I opened the letter, my eyes widened.

Because it was written in the letter that Dad had died yesterday with his lover, Ariel. They both had died together. For a moment, I really thought it was a prank. Because it couldn’t be real.

"Silas, say please, this is a joke, right? Did you plan this with Meyer?"

Orian asked, because what we read in this letter was indeed horrible. That’s why he wanted to confirm it was a joke, and I was thinking the same.
