Chapter 316: Flashback - 56
Silas’s POV
When I said that, I knew Lysander would understand. But then, he suddenly left from there without even looking back. And from his expression, it was clear that he was mad at me.
But why? I did explain why he shouldn’t hold my hand. So why did he get mad? Just because of this small reason? Still, I was not in the energy to run after him, to coax him. That’s why Orian and I left from there.
"Why didn’t you run after Lysander? He was looking upset."
Orian said, once we stepped into the room. That’s what I’m thinking—why didn’t Orian ask anything? But he stopped himself all the way from the yard to the room. He asked when we came inside.
"Well, I don’t have any energy right now. And I can coax him later. I will just hold his hand and he will be happy. And I don’t think this is something that he should be upset about. If I just told him not to hold my hand."
"You are right, but... you know, he was happy when he held your hand, and you upset him just by saying that—don’t hold my hand. Just imagine, if you did this and they told you not to, how would you feel?"
I didn’t think straight when I was out there, but when Orian is telling me right now, I think I messed up. I just messed up everything. I told that to Lysander. He must be really feeling upset right now.
"Then you take a rest, I will go and see him. How is he?"
Well, I also wanted to take rest, but since I don’t have any other choice, I’ll go and see how he is feeling—if he’s upset or not. I will have to give up on my rest. Orian nods, and I left the room.
As I came out, the whole hallway was very silent. It’s not like there was noise before, but this silence is quite something. I am not able to digest it.
