That meant Silas was not the one who offered money to kill Orian. Someone else had given this order in Silas’s name.

"I know it wasn’t you who did this, but I still wanted to make sure. That’s why I asked if you hated Orian or not. Sorry about that, okay?"
Meyer apologized to Silas.

"Haha, of course not. This is just the way Theron looks at everyone. Don’t mind him."
