Silas’s POV
"Silas, if you didn’t do anything, then why did those people call, saying they killed Orian? Tell us it’s not true."
Why is Damon even asking? Of course, it’s not true. How could I tell people to kill my own brother?
"Damon, I didn’t do anything, and I don’t know anything about that phone call either."
I was about to stand up as I spoke, but just then, Kael stepped on my hand.
"Ugh!"
The pain was unbearable. I couldn’t free my hand from his weight, and he looked at me like I was some kind of criminal—like I had done everything wrong to him. His eyes were filled with a murderous intent.
"Orian is dead now. You must be happy, right, bítch?"
While saying that, he was literally crushing my hand with his shoe, and none of the others tried to stop him. Just then, Theron pushed Kael away from me.
"Are you out of your mind, Kael? It was just a call. How can you believe something just because you heard it over the phone?"
Only Theron was on my side. I looked down at my hand—my skin was scraped, and blood was trickling out.
