Damon’s POV
We have noticed that Silas looks pale. Instead, I regret my decision to send Silas here, so we are taking him back to our pack.
I settled into the driver’s seat. Even though I had never driven an ambulance before, I knew I could do this.
Without wasting any time, I pressed the accelerator and started the ambulance.
It was surprisingly easy to drive—so smooth that I felt like a professional ambulance driver who had been doing this 24/7.
As I was driving, I could hear murmuring from behind. I knew they were talking, but I couldn’t make out what they were saying.
Lost in my thoughts, I focused on driving, having already memorized the route to the airport.
Just then, I saw a group of wolves standing ahead. They were attacking someone—around 15 or 20 wolves, all biting a single person.
Seeing that, I quickly pressed the brakes and stopped the ambulance.
I knew that if the sound reached those wolves’ ears, they would pounce on us like hungry beasts.
From what that man told us, these wolves had lost all sense of reason.
