Silas’s POV

"I don’t like being in the spotlight, which is why I stay in the corner. But how come you’re here?"

As I spoke, I stretched out my hand and took the kid back from Lysander. Who does he think he is, taking the kid from me?

Does he think I don’t deserve to hold him? Or does he not believe me? Does he fear that I would do something to a child?

"I saw you, so I came over. And you’re looking absolutely beautiful and gorgeous today, you know?"

Lysander and his sweet words—he says them to everyone. Silas, don’t get swayed. You can’t melt...i reminded myself.

"Yeah, I know I look nice."

I smiled as I replied. Meanwhile, that Kael was still staring at me. But I didn’t care. It’s his eyes—he can do whatever he wants.

But then—

"Kael, why are you staring at Silas like that? Don’t you know it looks rude?"

Lysander spoke on my behalf.
